Detroit startup makes a splash at TechWeek Chicago

Fares Ksebati (B.S. '13) founded MySwimPro, a platform for swimmers and coaches to set goals. Ksebati said the inspiration for MySwimPro is to create an accurate training program for swimmers and coaches that saves money and provides proper training.

"Today, most swimmers and triathletes don't have access to structured training and coaching," Ksebati said. "The athletes who do, often spend hundreds of dollars per month on in-person or remote coaching and training plans. A majority of swimmers lack this coaching and many feel discouraged, some so much so that they don't participate in the sport that they love."

MySwimPro has thousands of users actively using the application, available via iOS and Android devices, and is gaining ground in the startup community. MySwimPro is a semi-finalist in the Chicago TechWeek Launch competition.
