Crain's Detroit Business: Hakan Yildiz and Tingting Yan on rethinking supply chains in age of COVID-19

Hakan Yildiz and Tingting Yan, associate professors of global supply chain management at the Mike Ilitch School of Business, wrote an article regarding status of supply chains during COVID-19. “When news about the coronavirus and its devastating impact to Wuhan, China, first appeared, it hit home with Tingting Yan, one of the authors of this commentary. Yan has been leading a Wayne State study abroad program for supply chain management students at Wuhan University since 2015. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, this year's program was canceled. In less than three months, what initially seemed like a public health crisis in a specific region in China has become a global pandemic. Global supply chains have been hit hard in different ways.”
