Biography
I hold 20 + years of experience in the US corporate world as Controller and Vice President Finance in multiple large corporations.
I started my career with the public accounting firm Deloitte and then moved into financial reporting and corporate accounting at Goldman Sachs. Eventually I took more leadership roles at multiple publicly listed companies. A few notable ones are Korn Ferry (Global Executive recruiting firm) and a CPG company named Wella.
Being an expert in change management and M&A transition leader, I have in-depth knowledge and leadership experience in end-to-end transformation of the finance department for publicly listed companies.
I have led training programs in my corporate career for the mid to senior leadership team on subjects related to technical accounting, financial newons and implementation of the latest GAAP standard.
Over the years, I have been involved as a guest speaker in multiple universities in Los Angeles, including Loyola Marymount University and Cal State Universities. I am an expert in technical finance and accounting topics. My extensive corporate experience helps me to relate the theoretical concepts to real-life examples. I believe in sharing the tools needed for young professionals to thrive in the competitive corporate world.

My goal in teaching is to make my courses an interactive learning process to stimulate student interest in the subject matter. I do this by exposing students to a variety of learning modalities. For example: reading, writing, videos, debates, and applied exercises. The goal is for students to immerse themselves into the material to see how it impacts their lives.
