Biography
Tori Smith joined the Ilitch School in 2024, after earning her Bachelor of Arts in history and political science from the University of Notre Dame and her Master of Arts in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She first encountered the transformative power of alumni relations and donor generosity as the Events Chair for an emergent student organization at Notre Dame, where she worked to coordinate mutually beneficial partnerships between students interested in pursuing careers in marketing and journalism and alumni leaders. In the years since, she has explored development and philanthropy in a number of settings, including social service organizations, a museum, and a non-profit research center. She is excited to return to the higher education sector to connect with alumni and other donors and build capacity for the Ilitch School as a Major Gift Officer.
Outside of the office, Tori loves to run through Michigan's many parks and trails, read the latest mystery thrillers, play with her dog Honey, and perfect her gluten-free baking skills. An advocate for mental health, she is a certified Crisis Text Line counselor.
