Biography

As an MBA and Master of Finance graduate with four years of diverse professional experience in start-ups, online retail, customer service, and inventory management, I am currently pursuing my PhD at Wayne State University, focusing on empirical corporate finance. My research investigates how firms navigate the emerging social, political, and environmental challenges in today’s complex landscape.

At Wayne State University, I have had the privilege of teaching both introductory and intermediate finance courses: Business Finance, Financial Statement Analysis and Modeling, and Investment Fundamentals. In my Financial Statement Analysis and Modeling course, students engage in case-based learning by analyzing actual financial statements, constructing pro forma statements, and assessing financial performance and prospects for real companies. In Investment Fundamentals, I utilize the virtual stock exchange MarketWatch to create experiential learning opportunities, providing students with hands-on experience in investment and portfolio management.
