Get to know Kristian Wright
Biography
Kristian R. Wright, M.B.A., is a proud two-time alumnus of the Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2017 and returned to familiar ground in Fall 2018 to pursue his MBA, specializing in Finance & Financial Accounting, which he completed in May 2023.
With a genuine passion for teaching and mentoring, Kristian aims to enrich his students' learning experiences by integrating real-life insights from his academic, professional, and personal journey. Currently serving as an Accountant at Ferndale Public Schools, Kristian brings over seven years of diverse experience in financial roles, including a significant tenure at Wayne State University. He began his journey at Wayne State as a Grant Accountant in Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) for three years, followed by a year in General Accounting before concluding his tenure as an Accountant & Budget Specialist in C&IT in January 2024.
During his time at Wayne State University, Kristian's passion for teaching and training shone through his creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructional videos while in General Accounting. These materials were instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and knowledge base of management and future WSU Accountants.
Kristian cherishes the opportunity to contribute to the education and development of future Mike Ilitch School of Business alumni. He holds his alma mater in high regard, proudly displaying his dedication as he continues to bleed green and gold. Warrior Strong today, tomorrow, and forever!
