Biography
Nabil Raad is a global leader and consultant in business transformation through the innovative application of cloud-based data and analytics solutions. For over 20 years, Nabil’s hands-on approach has helped organizations transform and make better strategic and tactical decisions in strategy, operations, risk management, marketing management, and product development. Nabil delivers value by developing a deep understanding of the business, anticipating needs, growing positive relationships, and by building environments that bring the best in people.
Nabil is the Director of Analytics at Michigan Medicine, where he leads the development of analytical solutions for the healthcare system and the school of medicine at the University of Michigan. Prior to this role Nabil was SVP of Data and Analytics at GM Financial where he led cloud migration efforts in Azure and Databricks and developed strategic solutions in pricing, customer experience, insurance, and risk management. Prior to GM Financial, Nabil held several global leadership positions at Ford Motor Company. The positions include Director of Product Development Analytics, Director of Enterprise Risk, Director of Ford Credit’s Global Business Center in India, Asia-Pacific Regional Risk Analytics Director based in Australia, Director of Strategy, and Portfolio Manager for North America.
Nabil has extensive experience in data strategy, data engineering, predictive and prescriptive modeling, MLOps, and data governance. Nabil’s main cloud expertise is in Azure and Databricks. Nabil is also an expert in the field of Complex Adaptive Systems and business simulation where he has largely focused on implementing strategies that shape and shift the behavior of social-technical systems in organizations.
Nabil is an adjunct faculty in Industrial Engineering and Business Analytics with extensive experience in teaching graduate data and analytics classes. He serves on several academic advisory boards to help shape curricula in data and analytics and build alliances between industry and academia. He also serves as a global leadership mentor across several organizations. Nabil holds a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering, a MBA, and a BS in Computer Science.
