Amber James

Amber James is an Academic Advisor II with the Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business. She earned her Bachelor of Applied Science from Siena Heights University in Graphic & Web Design with a minor in Marketing and her Master of Science in Art Therapy from Emporia State University in Kansas.

Amber comes to WSU after serving as an advisor/recruiter at Siena Heights University. She is a Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) and runs a private practice in art therapy part-time. She serves on the board for the Michigan Association of Art Therapy and has been actively involved in their legislative efforts to license art therapists in Michigan for over a decade.

In her spare time, Amber enjoys learning new things, making art, and spending time with her adult children and her dogs.
