Biography
Ryan Mitchell is an Academic Advisor at the Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business, and has 8+ years of professional student advising experience.
Ryan completed a BA in Communications at Wayne State, and then went on to SIU Edwardsville for a Master’s (MS) in Mass Communications. Prior to advising for MISB, Ryan worked in another department at WSU advising student orgs on activities and event implementation, as well as overseeing leadership development and general organizational advising for all fraternities and sororities. He also has experience in private business, having managed a fitness studio and developed an understanding of business operations, customer service and sales, and management.
In his free time, Ryan tries to entertain his two cats (Monty and Beerus) and spends a lot of time on personal health and wellness activities, including adhering to a consistent and diligent fitness routine. Other interests include community activities like sports, discussion groups, trivia, and being involved in community organizations. He has also attended over 400 concerts in at least 7 states.
