Dean's message

Greetings from the Mike Ilitch School of Business.

I hope this note finds you safe and healthy as we quickly approach the end of another semester. While we remain primarily physically distanced from one another and the physical home that we miss so much, my colleagues and I continue to work tirelessly within the Ilitch School and across campus to engage our students and other key stakeholders virtually.

While we continued to enhance our abilities to provide instruction, advising and mentoring online, we also worked through the spring and summer to expand our virtual offerings to include Ilitch School staples like our annual GM/WSU Supply Chain Case Competition and Study Abroad programs.

We also worked in close partnership with the Ilitch School's Alumni Council, WSU's Division of Development and Alumni Affairs and our own faculty experts to provide virtual programs to help our students and alumni with pandemic interview strategies, career advancement tips and advice on building their personal brand.

Thanks in large part to Matt and Mona Simoncini and other generous alumni and friends, the Ilitch School was able to raise a record $201,000 during the university's fourth annual Giving Day celebration earlier this fall. Many of you have also provided much-needed funds to support Ilitch School students facing dire, unexpected financial need during these trying times via the Warrior Relief Fund.

In case you are missing our beautiful home as much as I am, here is a brief virtual tour video I was able to shoot earlier this fall.

Until we are able to come together again physically, please stay Warrior Safe and Warrior Strong!

Sincerely,
Robert Forsythe
Dean
