WXYZ: Jeff Stoltman on major retailers stepping up their tech game to get you in the door

Long lines and big crowds – those are some of the biggest complaints made by shoppers, especially during the holiday season. However, in an effort to keep people from shopping online, brick and mortar stores are now offering some exciting new technologies to make the shopping experience quicker and easier than ever before. "They can use the technology to expedite the movement through the store to be able to look up items that may not be in the store, in a size or color, or print that the shopper's looking for," said Jeff Stoltman, Director of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programs and Associate Professor of Marketing. "They can basically execute that transaction right then and there, and you can be off on your merry way... One dimension here is time-saving."
