WSU business school partners with employers to offer matching funds to working graduate students

The Wayne State University School of Business has announced a scholarship program that will provide matching funds to the tuition reimbursement or assistance programs offered at several area employers.

Made possible with funding from the WSU Graduate School, the Workforce Development Scholarship Program is available to students in Wayne State’s M.B.A., M.S. in Accounting or M.S. in Taxation programs who receive tuition assistance from one of the following employers:

  • DTE Energy
  • Fiat Chrysler Automobiles
  • GM
  • Henry Ford Health System
  • Lear Corporation
  • Meritor

According to Kiantee Rupert, director of graduate programs for the WSU business school, students must first secure and receive tuition assistance from their employer. Following written confirmation of this assistance – and successful completion of the course – the student is then eligible to receive a matching amount from WSU to apply to a course the following semester.
