Alex Atanasovski, a senior in accounting and president of WSU's Beta Alpha Psi chapter, spoke with ValuePenguin about his experience so far with the School of Business. Atanasovski said that majoring in accounting teaches students important critical thinking and quantitative skills needed for the workplace. "Students should also major in accounting in order to gain knowledge of how to be fiscally responsible, so that they can help drive forward businesses and society of the future," he said. Atanasovski said that the professors’ knowledge of current trends in the profession, and the guidance of the Career Planning and Placement Office are extremely valuable to students.
