Wayne State MBA grad to speak at second annual TEDxWayneStateU

Mike Ilitch School of Business alumnus Jonny Imerman will be a featured guest speaker during the second annual TEDxWayneStateU conference “Metamorphosis” on Nov. 2.

Imerman, who graduated from Wayne State with an MBA in 2003, will be speaking about his foundation, Imerman Angels, a nonprofit one-on-one cancer support group. The group pairs a cancer patient or caregiver with a survivor of the same type of cancer and of a similar age, gender and background.

Based in Chicago, the organization serves over 60 countries and works with about 7,000 “mentor angels” who connect with cancer patients.

The TEDx conference will be multidisciplinary, with topics ranging from science, social issues, psychology and more. It will be held in the Student Center Ballroom from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a reception from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
