Wayne State launches Innovation Hub to speed entrepreneurial growth

W. David Tarver, senior counselor to the provost for innovation and entrepreneurship, and Provost Keith Whitfield wrote an article about the rise of innovation and entrepreneurialism and Wayne State’s launch of the Innovation Hub. They wrote: “Today, the need for innovation and entrepreneurship savvy is no longer restricted to those who want to start a business, because every business is likely to undergo significant change. The most successful professionals in many fields will be those who are able to innovate and analyze and adjust a business model, whether they are business founders, executives or employees…At Wayne State University, the Office of the Provost has created an initiative called the Innovation Hub to take advantage of the opportunities that will accompany the third generation of entrepreneurship. The Innovation Hub aims to equip all students and faculty, regardless of academic discipline, with the ability to recognize and seize the opportunities of this new era.” Wayne State will launch the Innovation Hub at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 15 in the Student Center Ballroom. The event is open to the public.
