Wayne State chapter of Beta Alpha Psi recognized as "Superior Chapter" for 2014-15

Wayne State University’s Epsilon Phi Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, the international honors organization for financial information students and professionals, has been recognized by its national office as a Superior Chapter for 2014-15.

To achieve that status, an individual chapter must organize a combination of eight or more outreach activities, professional activities and service activities as well as submit beginning and year-end reports. Additionally, a minimum of 20 hours of professional and service activities are required of each individual member.

The chapter was recognized as a Distinguished Chapter for the 2013-14 school year for completing five or more outreach activities. As a Superior Chapter, the chapter receives a monetary award of $275 from KPMG LLP and the KPMG Foundation.

"Recognition as a Superior Chapter is a significant accomplishment," said Shawn Harter, 2015-16 national Beta Alpha Psi president. "Under the leadership of Deborah Jones, the Epsilon Phi Chapter has far exceeded the baseline requirements of Beta Alpha Psi and has excelled in the areas of academics, professionalism and leadership. As faculty advisor for the chapter, Deborah Jones has provided an invaluable service to your academic institution."
