U.S. News and World Report recognizes school for “Best Undergraduate Business Programs”
The Wayne State University School of Business Administration is featured in the recently released U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges 2013 Edition under the specialty Best Undergraduate Business Programs.
A total of 381 colleges and universities are ranked for their undergraduate business programs, and 11 are in Michigan. Of the Michigan schools ranked, WSU’s program was listed as third in the state behind the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor and Michigan State University, tying with University of Michigan – Dearborn at 166 on the overall list.
“Our school attracts research faculty who are committed to teaching and working with students both inside and outside of the classroom so that they can be successful in their careers,” said Margaret Williams, interim dean of WSU’s business school. “We are proud to hear that U.S. News and World Report is again recognizing our school.”
In order for a business school to be listed in the U.S. News rankings, it must have accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Rankings listed in the report are based solely on a peer assessment that was conducted during the spring of this year.
