The tenth-annual Elevator Pitch Competition is now accepting registrations

All Mike Ilitch School of Business students are invited to participate in the tenth annual Elevator Pitch Competition for a chance to win up to $1000 in scholarship money, while developing their interviewing and networking skills.

During this annual competition, students prepare an elevator pitch, or a brief synopsis of their professional image typically presented to a potential employer in the time it takes to ride an elevator. They perform these pitches live and are scored by a panel of judges comprised of Detroit industry professionals.

The first round of competition is held at the Mike Ilitch School of Business on October 23, and the final round will be held at the Renaissance Center on October 25. The finalists will ride the elevator up 72-stories to the top of the Renaissance Center while pitching themselves to the judges.

Interested students should plan to attend one of the four in-person information sessions at the Ilitch School, 2771 Woodward Ave, Detroit, Michigan between October 7-10 in room 229, or the virtual session will be held on October 11.

This event was made possible with generous support from WM, Doeren Mayhew and the Mike Ilitch School of Business Alumni Council. For more information, and for the complete schedule of the competition, head to the competition webpage and sign up for an information session.
