School of Business to offer $1,000 scholarships to students admitted to Warriors Business Community for fall 2015
Beginning in the fall of 2015, Wayne State University business students will have a new and powerful way to start building their network from their very first day on campus: the Warriors Business Community Living Learning Community (WBC). All new students admitted to the WBC for fall 2015 will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the WSU School of Business.
Located on the fourth floor of WSU's Ghafari Hall, the WBC will offer an opportunity for a cohort of freshman business students to live, learn and develop professional connections together right here on Wayne State's main campus in the heart of Midtown Detroit.
The WBC encourages community involvement, supports academic success and provides a fun atmosphere for students to form lasting relationships with other future professionals, as well as current business leaders.
According to Linda Zaddach, the business school's assistant dean of student services, other advantages to joining the WBC include onsite advising, improvisational training to improve decision-making skills, peer support from upper-level business students, job shadowing and company tours, and much more.
