SBA and GM host second annual auto show preview

On January 16, the Wayne State University School of Business Administration and General Motors hosted their second annual VIP preview event at the North American International Auto Show.

Roughly 40 members of the SBA Board of Visitors and other friends of the school attended the event, which included a light breakfast and a private tour of the show floor by Dave Leone, GM executive chief engineer for luxury and rear wheel drive vehicles and president of the SBA Board of Visitors. Attendees gained additional insights from Leone’s colleague, Adam Bernard, GM associate director of competitor intelligence.

In her welcoming remarks, SBA Dean Margaret L. Williams highlighted the school's strong relationship with General Motors as a model for engagement with the Detroit business community.

"Strong partnerships with members of the business community are critical for our success," Williams said. "We value our strong relationships with GM and appreciate the opportunity to showcase the distinct advantage of our location right here in Detroit in the heart of the vehicle industry."
