Mike Ilitch School of Business appoints new department chair
Professor Christine Jackson is the new interim chair of the Department of Management and Information Systems. She succeeds Professor Toni Somers, who has been appointed associate dean of the Mike Ilitch School of Business.
Before joining Wayne State in August 2015, Jackson spent 11 years at Purdue University, where she founded the Krannert Mentoring Program.
At the Ilitch School, Jackson has taught three different courses and published top-tier journal articles in the Journal of Business Ethics and Experimental Economics.
She will oversee development of internship opportunities for freshman and sophomore business students through Grow Detroit’s Young Talent, an organization dedicated to employing young adults over the summer.
