Mbodja Mougoué appointed as financial economics visiting lecturer for African Economic Research Consortium

Mike Ilitch School of Business Professor of Finance Mbodja Mougoué has been appointed for visiting lectureship by the prestigious African Economic Research Consortium (AERC).

AERC is a nonprofit economic research organization and training network in Africa based in Nairobi, Kenya. Established in 1988, AERC informs economic policies in sub-Saharan Africa.

Mougoué, who was selected by AERC following an internationally competitive process, will teach a Collaborative Ph.D. Programme course in financial economics, which will be held virtually beginning August 2, 2021.

Mougoué has performed significant consulting work over the course of his career and frequently lectures at overseas universities in North America and Europe as well as Africa. He also serves on the editorial review boards of several academic journals.

Last October, he was appointed to a distinguished panel of experts to review online graduate programs by AERC.
