Marick F. Masters: Detroit gripped by a big 3 of deficits

Marick F. Masters, professor of management for Wayne State University’s School of Business Administration and director of Labor@Wayne, opined about the City of Detroit facing three major "deficits" as it moves through bankruptcy – financial, chronic performance deficiency and an abyss of confidence in its capacity to govern itself. To meet the challenge, Masters writes: "Detroit needs a new labor-management strategy that provides both employees and managers with a real voice in making effective change."
