Interested in launching a tech startup? Get help from DTX Launch Detroit

If you are interested in starting a technology startup in Detroit, you don’t have to look too far.

DTX Launch Detroit is a 10-week technology startup accelerator for college students and recent graduates. The program is designed to teach students the ins and outs of tech entrepreneurship, with a goal of attracting and retaining talent in the city of Detroit.

The program is accepting applications through April 22. Applicants are encouraged to attend an information session on Feb. 24 from 6-8 p.m. at TechTown Detroit. The program runs from May 24 to Aug. 4.

To be eligible, applicants must be current students at a Michigan college or university; Michigan residents attending an out-of-state college or university; or state residents who graduated from a college or university within the past two years.

Accepted participants will receive a stipend of $2,500 per person or up to $7,500 per team.

DTX Launch Detroit is a partnership between TechTown, Bizdom, Invest Detroit, the Detroit Creative Corridor Center, the Henry Ford Innovation Institute, NextEnergy and Techstars Mobility – Driven by Detroit. The program is funded by the Michigan Economic Development Corp. and the New Economy Initiative for Southeast Michigan.
