Ilitch School once again ranked among U.S. News and World Report’s Best Part-Time M.B.A. Programs

The Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University has once again been ranked among U.S. News and World Report’s 2023 Best Part-time M.B.A. Programs. The Ilitch School came in at 139th, up 19 places from last year and 38 places over the last two years.

A total of 278 colleges and universities are ranked for their part-time M.B.A. programs, and 11 are in Michigan. Wayne State’s program was third in the state behind the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

U.S. News also ranks the Ilitch School among the nation’s Best Undergraduate Business Programs. The school came in at 190th in 2022, up 11 places from the previous year and its highest ranking since 2015.

For a business school to be listed in the U.S. News rankings, it must be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Less than 5% of the world’s 16,000 business schools meet the rigorous standards for AACSB accreditation

Rankings listed in the report are based on peer assessment, GMAT and GRE scores, undergraduate GPA of part-time M.B.A. students, number of years of work experience of part-time M.B.A. students, and the ratio of part-time to full-time M.B.A. students.
