Ilitch Business student-athletes receive All-GLIAC recognition for women’s tennis

A school-record eight student-athletes on the 2020-21 Wayne State University women’s tennis team were recognized with GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) All-Academic accolades, which tied for the most in the conference. Four of this year’s honorees are Mike Ilitch School of Business student-athletes.

Receiving All-Academic Excellence Team honors for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 are senior Teodora Radu (finance), junior Laura Cazacu (management) and sophomore Sabrina Laynes (management). Cazacu was recognized for the second straight year. Radu, a transfer from Louisiana Monroe, and Laynes were first-year eligible.

Senior Stephanie Stamate (accounting) received GLIAC All-Academic honors for obtaining a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.49. This is the third straight season Stamate has received All-Academic recognition.
