Ilitch Business student-athletes receive All-GLIAC recognition for women’s swimming and diving
Twenty members of the Wayne State University women’s swimming and diving team were recognized with GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) All-Academic accolades, setting a school record for the program. Over the last 11 years, 164 Warrior women’s swimming and diving student-athletes have earned GLIAC All-Academic honors.
Of the 20 athletes honored, five are Mike Ilitch School of Business students.
Student-athletes receiving All-Academic Excellence Team honors for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 were senior Ashleigh Allen (marketing), junior Jordan Fox (accounting), and sophomores Justine Czyrka (marketing) and Barbara Munoz (management).
Allen garnered her third straight All-Academic Excellence Team recognition. Fox notched her second consecutive All-Academic Excellence honor. Czyrka and Munoz were recipients in their first season eligible.
Receiving All-Academic Team recognition for maintaining a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 was junior Abby Warner (marketing). Warner was recognized for the second straight year.
