Ilitch Business student-athletes receive All-GLIAC recognition for women’s swimming and diving
The 2020-21 Wayne State University women’s swimming and diving program had 15 GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) All-Academic recipients, which ranked third in the league. The Warriors equaled the previous school record of 10 All-Academic Excellence honorees set during the 2015-16 and 2019-20 academic years. Five of the 2020-21 recipients are Mike Ilitch School of Business student-athletes.
Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 are senior and Adrianna Waack (finance), junior Ashleigh Allen (marketing) and sophomore Jordan Fox (accounting).
Waack is on the All-Academic Excellence squad for the third consecutive season, while Allen garnered her second consecutive All-Academic Excellence Team recognition. Fox is a recipient in her first season eligible.
The two representatives on the All-Academic Team for having a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 were senior Amanda Hurchalla (management) and sophomore Abby Warner (marketing).
Hurchalla is on a GLIAC All-Academic Team for the third straight year, while Warner is a recipient in her first season eligible.
