Ilitch Business student-athletes receive All-GLIAC recognition for volleyball
Thirteen members of the 2020-21 Wayne State University volleyball team were recognized with GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) All-Academic accolades, which was the second most in the conference. Two of these recipients are Mike Ilitch School of Business student-athletes.
Receiving All-Academic Excellence Team honors for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 is redshirt sophomore Halle Shell (marketing). Shell garnered her second consecutive All-Academic Excellence award.
Earning All-Academic Team honors for having a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 is first-time eligible honoree Maddy Benoit (management), a sophomore.
This year’s group of 13 honorees is the second most in program history (15 in 2016), and the 10 selections to the All-Academic Excellence squad is the most ever (previous mark of eight was set in 2016 and equaled in 2017 and 2018).
