The Wayne State University baseball program had a school-record 24 GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) All-Academic recipients for the 2021 season (the previous mark was 21 in 2019), which ranked second in the conference and marks the eighth straight year the Warriors have had at least 17 student-athletes receive All-Academic accolades. WSU had 15 All-Academic Excellence honorees, which eclipses last year’s school-record total of 14. Thirteen of this year’s recipients are Mike Ilitch School of Business student-athletes.

Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 are graduate students Michael MacLean (M.B.A.) and Dillon McInerney (M.B.A.), redshirt senior Brendan Bilkovic (marketing), seniors CJ Drogosch (management) and Nicholas O'Dea (finance), redshirt junior Ryan Foley (marketing), along with sophomore Kaden Stively (management).

Bilkovic and McInerney were recognized for the fourth time in their careers, while Drogosch and MacLean received All-Academic honors for the third consecutive year. Foley was on the Excellence Team for the second consecutive year, after receiving All-Academic Team accolades in 2019. Stively collected the award in his first season of eligibility. O’Dea was also in his first year of eligibility after transferring from Kalamazoo Valley C.C.

Collecting All-Academic Team accolades for having a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 are redshirt juniors Hunter DeLanoy (accounting) and Nate Roede (management), juniors Jacob Badalamenti (global supply chain management), Noah Miller (finance) and Rudy Ramirez (global supply chain management), along with redshirt sophomore Brett Zimmerman (finance).

Roede earned All-Academic honors for the third straight season, while Badalamenti, DeLanoy and Zimmerman received their second GLIAC All-Academic certificate. Miller and Ramirez earned their first All-Academic recognition.
