Ilitch Business graduate student awarded CMA Scholarship

The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), a worldwide association of accountants and financial professionals in business, has selected Mike Ilitch School of Business student Lisa Stocking as a recipient of their CMA Scholarship.

The scholarship covers the Certified Management Accounting (CMA) entrance fee, an exam support package, registration fees, choice of course provider review material and three years of IMA membership while pursuing the certification.

Stocking graduated with a B.S. in accounting from the Ilitch School in 2018 and is on track to complete the M.S.A. program with a concentration in financial reporting and auditing this May. She currently works as a controller for State Building Products, a privately owned steel manufacturer in Warren.

Stocking was nominated for the CMA Scholarship by Ilitch School Associate Professor of Accounting Deborah Habel, as students are not able to self-nominate. For more information, visit IMA’s CMA Scholarship webpage.
