Husband accounting lecture to feature Jonathan Wiggins of SEC

On Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m. in McGregor Memorial Conference Center, the Mike Ilitch School of Business Department of Accounting will present the George R. Husband Distinguished Lecture, delivered by Jonathan Wiggins, Senior Associate Chief Accountant in the Office of the Chief Accountant (OCA) at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Wiggins will talk about emerging opportunities in today's accounting profession.

(The originally scheduled speaker, Sagar Teotia, is now unable to attend.)

The George R. Husband Lecture is convened by the Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business. Husband was an accounting educator and a leader in his field. His former students and admirers thought so highly of him that they endowed a professorship, scholarship, and annual Distinguished Lecture Series in his memory nearly 40 years after his untimely death in 1958.

The program is open to the public at no charge. RSVP online or by calling 313-577-4530.
