Help make Warren more walkable

Walkable Warren, an initiative for Wayne State University’s Placemaking Steering Committee, features streetscape improvements on Warren Avenue between Woodward Avenue and Second Avenue.

The improvements include painted bike lanes, pedestrian bump-outs and shortened crosswalks. There will also be a food truck rally, pop-up market, sidewalk seating and entertainment. The initiative is intended to promote walking, biking and active street life on one of Midtown’s primary surface streets.

Walkable Warren streetscape improvements go through Sept. 22-24. The food truck rally will be on Sept. 22, sidewalk seating will be all day on Friday, Sept. 23 and the pop-up market will be on Saturday, Sept. 24.
