Fifth Third Bank invests in WSU Business Students

The Wayne State School of Business was presented with a $100,000 gift from Fifth Third Bank on Dec. 3. The donation helps fund a student managed investment fund (SMIF). “With this grant, Wayne State University can improve the learning experience for its business majors who will have the opportunity to be real time fund managers," said David Girodat, president & CEO of Fifth Third Bank Eastern Michigan.

The gift is apart of a $300,000 endowment Fifth Third has made to WSU in efforts to promote academia in Detroit.
