DTE Energy announces changes to executive leadership team

Three Wayne State University alumni – two from the School of Business Administration – are among the five members of the DTE Energy leadership team who have taken on new or enhanced roles.

Dave Meador, B.S. Accounting ’79, M.B.A. ’88, was named DTE Energy vice chairman and chief administrative officer, a new role, from his current position of executive vice president and CFO.

Peter Oleksiak, B.S. Finance ‘88, was named DTE Energy senior vice president and CFO from his current position of vice president of finance. Oleksiak also holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.

Also taking on a new role is Steve Kurmas, who was named president and COO of DTE Energy, succeeding Gerry Anderson, 55, who remains chairman and CEO. Kurmas, 57, had been president and COO of DTE Electric. Kurmas has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from WSU.
