Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship Key Award goes to finance major Maxim Ermakov

Maxim ErmakovEach year the Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship Key is presented to the graduating student with the highest cumulative grade point average in the School of Business Administration. This year the business school presented the Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship key to finance major Maxim

Ermakov, whose intelligence and work ethic have allowed him to attain a perfect 4.00 grade point average. This is a rare achievement and when combined with his accomplishments outside the classroom, recognition is in order.
Ermakov immigrated to the U.S. from Russia with his family in 1997, and spoke no English. He quickly developed skills as a student and he also began to show a talent for commerce— beginning with a small auto export business between the U.S. and Russia that he started at age 17.

He continued to gain experience through college, interning in real estate investment and financial services, as well as for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s Detroit branch and Ford Motor Company.

Currently, he’s the director of business development for The Bedford Group, a real estate investment firm. He will leave that position in the near future because he’s accepted a position with Ford Motor Company as a financial analyst beginning in September 2011.
