Crain's names business school alumnus as a top CFO of the year

Shawn Peralta (B.S. ’84), chief financial officer of Southfield-based Secure-24, will be honored as one of Crain’s Detroit Business’ 2015 CFO of the Year Award winners. Secure-24 is a cloud and hosting management service. Since Peralta joined the organization in 2012, he has not only been concerned with finances, but also the morale and health of the workers. "If you need time off, you just take it," Peralta said. "You get as much time off as you need because we know people are working hard." Peralta established a vacation day honor system, in which time off is not tallied. "We've been very innovative on the people side," he said.

Secure-24 has about 150 customers with annual revenue ranging from $100 million to $15 billion. The Crain’s event will be held on July 23.
