Cheol Lee elected vice president of Korean-American Accounting Professors Association

Associate Professor of Accounting Cheol Lee was recently elected to the position of vice president of the Korean-American Accounting Professors Association (KAAPA).

KAAPA is a nonprofit organization that provides a platform for communication and networking among Korean accounting professors and doctoral students in North America, Asia, Europe and more.

"Cheol’s engagement in KAAPA definitely increases the value of our WSU accounting department and allows for dissemination of new information from accounting studies to our colleagues and WSU students," said Marina Houghton, chair of the Ilitch School's accounting department.

Founded in 1988, KAAPA aims to facilitate cooperation and participation in high-quality academic research among members and to link with other academic and professional organizations that share similar scholastic interests. The organization has more than 200 active members around the world.
