CARMA hosts February Short Courses from Australia

Larry Williams, director of Wayne State University’s Center for the Advancement of Research Methods and Analysis (CARMA) and professor of management, led a team of researchers in Melbourne, Australia as part of the organization’s “Short Courses” program.

On February 24-26, CARMA hosted a set of research method “Short Courses” at the University of Melbourne. A total of four courses, each lasting two and a half days were offered from nationally recognized professors.  Topics of these courses included: "Introduction to Structural Equation Methods" by University of Georgia’s Robert Vandenberg, “Design and CFA Techniques for Common Method Variance" by Wayne State University’s Larry Williams, “Grounded Theory Method and Analysis" by University of Melbourne’s Tine Koehler and “Regression Analysis: Simple Regression, Multiple Regression, Moderated Regression, and Logistic regression” by George Mason University’s Jose Cortina.

A total of 35 faculty and doctoral students participated. Participants came from universities all over Australia, including University of South Australia as well as the University of Melbourne.
