Business Student Senate spreads holiday cheer to local youth ... and you can help!

The Wayne State University School of Business Administration’s Business Student Senate is committed to community service and involvement. The student organization is leading their sixth annual “Big Give,” which benefits the Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan. The senate has risen over $4,500 in the last three years and would like to raise at least $900 this year, in order to provide gifts for at least 75-100 children in need.

The student organization is accepting financial contributions, unwrapped toys and even holiday gift wrap. If you choose to make a financial contribution, please make checks payable to WSU Business Student Senate and mail to:

"In addition to helping Wayne State business students achieve academic and professional excellence, the Wayne State University Business Student Senate wants to make this holiday season full of joy and wonderful memories for so many young Detroiters at the Boys and Girls Club," said Christa Byrd, chief executive officer for the Business Student Senate. "The Big Give will provide an opportunity for local businesses and rising Wayne State businesspeople to help build the future of Detroit in a way that is both concrete and personally interactive."

The student senate will host a holiday party in mid-December to hand out the gifts and celebrate the holiday season.
