AIAG and WSU business school to offer weeklong auto purchasing and supply chain seminar

The Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) and the Wayne State University School of Business are proud to offer the first annual Automotive Industry Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Seminar, to be held May 10-15, 2015 at the Renaissance Center Marriott in Detroit.

This intensive, weeklong program is targeted at high-potential middle management (managers, directors and other leaders) in purchasing, supply chain and aligned functions that participate in and/or influence purchasing and supply chain decisions.

While there are many executive seminars in SCM, this one is unique in being automotive focused, but with insights from other industries. A mix of academic and professional speakers will focus on the following topics:

  • The Automotive Industry and Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Value Proposition
  • Supply Chain Relationships and Purchasing Strategy
  • Demand/Supply Planning and Global Logistics
  • Driving Purchasing and Supply Chain Change and Innovation

The seminar is being led by Robert Monczka, a new senior research fellow at Wayne State who most recently served as a research professor of purchasing and supply chain management at Arizona State University. He is also a professor emeritus at Michigan State University. Monczka is an internationally recognized educational and executive education leader with extensive auto industry insights.
