Ilitch School accounting students sweep best paper awards from Institute of Internal Auditors

Each year, the Detroit Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors sponsors a student paper competition. This year, 12 students from several Michigan universities submitted papers on the topic "Why internal auditing makes the organization more resilient." All three winners are Wayne State University accounting students. Megan Miller, Rebecca Whaley and Brittany Baize each took home $2,000 in scholarship money.

The awards were presented at the Institute of Internal Auditors monthly dinner and panel discussion at Schoolcraft College. Professor Mark Savitskie's Internal Audit graduate and undergraduate classes attended the event.
