Start earning your Wayne State business degree in your own backyard
Students from Schoolcraft, Macomb and Oakland can transfer up to 82 credits
No matter where you live in Metro Detroit, you don’t need to travel very far to get on the fast track toward a life-changing degree from the Wayne State University School of Business.
Thanks to agreements with Macomb Community College, Oakland Community College and Schoolcraft College, students at these schools can transfer up to 82 community college credits to the WSU School of Business, helping them save tuition money while staying on track for a bachelor’s degree.
Students can complete equivalent general education, electives, business foundation and – in some cases – major and core course requirements at local community colleges. However thanks to articulation agreements between our schools, students from Macomb, Oakland and Schoolcraft can transfer even more credits to certain business school programs:
Macomb Community College
WSU’s Advanced Technology Center (ATEC) on 12 Mile Road in Warren is home to many of the university’s global supply chain management courses. Macomb students can transfer up to 82 credits toward a WSU degree in supply chain management.
Oakland Community College
OCC students can transfer up to 82 credit hours to WSU after earning an associate degree in business administration, with or without a concentration in accounting. Once transferring to the Wayne State, students in Oakland County can continue to take many of their business courses at WSU’s Oakland Center in Farmington Hills.
WSU will accept up to 82 credit hours from Schoolcraft College toward a B.A. or B.S. in Business Administration. WSU’s Schoolcraft Center is home to the Schoolcraft to U partnership, which offers extensive coursework in management and accounting on Schoolcraft’s Livonia campus.
As a general rule, community college transfer students may apply up to 64 credits toward their Wayne State degree. The WSU School of Business offers course equivalency guides to 10 different Michigan community colleges on its Transfer Student Admissions website to help students better plan their coursework and prepare for transferring to Wayne State.
If you are interested in transferring to the WSU School of Business from any two- or four-year college or university, please visit our Transfer Student Admissions website or schedule an appointment to meet with one of our academic advisors today!
