Undergraduate Programs

Information on our undergraduate programs is below. For more information on any of our programs, contact an advisor or call the Undergraduate Student Services office at 313-577-4505.

Bachelor's Degrees

Undergraduate studies lead to either a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. The difference is the B.A. has a foreign language requirement.

The undergraduate program requires at least 122 credit hours. You earn these credits through general education, business foundation, core, major, and elective courses.

Course requirements vary by major. An academic advisor can guide you through the process and help you create a plan of work for your degree.  Sample four-year academic plans are available on each major page.

Choose from our six undergraduate majors:

Or double major in two of them. Please use the menu on the left to learn more.

Other Undergraduate Programs

Beyond a B.A. or B.S. degree, we have other programs that can supplement or add to your Wayne State education.

Our B Start program puts incoming freshmen on a course to earn both a bachelor's degree and an M.B.A. in just five years.

Students studying non-business disciplines can learn about business and how it relates to their chosen profession by minoring in business.

The Honors Program enriches students' academic work by also focusing on community engagement and making a difference.

Our Post-Bachelor Certificate in Accounting prepares students for accounting careers, along with readying them for the Certified Public Accountant exam.

Our Post-Bachelor Certificate in Information Systems Management helps students develop technical and business skills pertinent to the development, implementation and maintenance of information systems in a variety of organizational settings.
