Shanese Ross is an academic advisor for graduate programs in the Mike Ilitch School of Business. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University and her master of business administration (MBA) from Davenport University.
Before joining Wayne State University, she worked in higher education and the nonprofit sector. Shanese enjoys helping others and is an advocate for education. She was very excited to join WSU as an academic advisor as her role encompasses all of her passions. It brings her great pleasure to know that she is playing a pivotal part in helping students attain their goals.
Outside of work, Shanese operates a wedding and event planning business which also feeds into her passion of helping others. She is the director of membership for the National Black MBA Association – Detroit Chapter. She also enjoys doing community service projects and mentoring youth.
