Eulonda Whitmore

Biography

Eulonda N. Whitmore, M.B.A., CIA, CRMA, CCA is the Associate Vice President and Chief Audit Executive at the Wayne State University Office of Internal Audit. She has been with WSU for 20 years. In her current role, she is responsible for overseeing, managing, and leading the internal audit team. She also teaches auditing at the WSU Mike Ilitch School of Business. Prior to joining WSU, she worked at Alan C. Young and Associates, a small minority owned public accounting firm. She performed audits of municipalities, a school district, and non-profit organizations. Overall, she is experienced with assessing risks, evaluating business processes and internal control environments, and performing operational, financial, and compliance audits and fraud investigations. Her motto for life it to pay attention to your mirror, invest in yourself, and help others accomplish their goals.


Eulonda is a Board member and current President of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Detroit Chapter. She is also a member of the Schoolcraft College Accounting Advisory Board, Association of College and University Auditors (ACUA), and the State of Michigan Board of Accountancy. She has done presentations to various groups related to self-care, internal controls, risk assessment, ethics, and fraud.
