The UAW strike against the Big 3 is now nearing a month long.
With no word yet on a tentative agreement, many people can’t help but wonder when it will end. That’s what Michigan News Network asked Wayne State University Professor of Management Marick Masters.
“I think they’re still far apart on some key issues, and I also believe that there are a lot of details and thorny issues that they need to resolve,” Masters said. “This would include the status of the battery plants at the companies, particularly Ford and Stellantis.”
Masters says it’s unlikely we’ll see an agreement within the next week. However, he says if there’s a breakthrough on one or two major issues, he thinks it could snowball and there could be a successful outcome pretty quickly.
