Volunteer tax preparers needed for Detroit community
The Accounting Aid Society provides free income tax and credit preparation and coaching for middle- to low-income households, and the organization is looking for Mike Ilitch School of Business students to become volunteer tax preparers for Detroit residents.
A tax refund is often the largest amount of money that a family or individual receives all year — and that refund helps pay bills, puts food on the table and keeps people in their homes.
If you want to make a difference for others while gaining valuable networking opportunities, personal development and community involvement, the Collegiate Tax Volunteer Program could be for you.
