The future of labor unions

The future of public sector unions and collective bargaining will be discussed Monday at an event on the campus of Wayne State University. Marick Masters, business professor and director of Labor@Wayne, said representatives from the Teamsters, AFL-CIO, AFSCME and others will be in attendance. “It’s intended to be a thoughtful presentation of views about the rights of public employees and the extent to which those rights are balanced with the public interest,” Masters said.
