The Detroit Lions add another Wayne State Warrior to the roster
Former WSU running back Desmond Martin is set to join his former teammate Joique Bell on the field this fall. Martin signed to the club after an impressive weekend at the rookie minicamp.
Martin played for the Warriors from 2011-2014 (redshirting in 2010). During his time at WSU he was voted to the All-GLIAC First Team and was also named WSU's Offensive Most Valuable Player. He was also selected to the USA College Football All-America Second Team and was voted to the Beyond Sports Network All-Super Region 4 Second Team.
When he wasn't studying plays, the football superstar studied management at WSU's School of Business and was named to the Coach's Honor Roll three times.
